Unlike group workouts, individualized Pilates sessions are designed specifically for your body, goals, and experience level. In this post, we’ll explain what personalized Pilates training is and how it can help you get better results.
In this day and age, you may feel like a number, and sometimes you may feel like you are not seen as the unique individual that you are. With so many things coming at us all at once and the desire for the personal focus and individualized training we need, it is hard to find a place like Pivot-Pilates that can see you for who you are. The big box gyms have TVs everywhere, which only increases your screen time, distracting you from what you were really there to do: improve your body and feel disconnected from your worries and life outside the gym. Small fitness centers and fad training studios play loud music with dark lights and/or bright lights like you’re in a late-night club, which only continues to overstimulate your already overstimulated mind. So, where can you find focus while also getting a workout for both your mind and body? A place and method where you can enhance both and just decompress? Also, where can you actually be seen as an individual within your unique body and find a teacher who wants to help you with your flaws and issues to be the best you can be? To truly be a focused place of fitness and health, you must be willing to be there for your clients and for your community. Pivot Pilates starts with an individual focus from the moment you walk through the door, by recognizing your true individuality. This begins with our comprehensive assessment, personal medical chart documentation, focused training from trainers who determine the best way for you to improve, and a method that refocuses both the body and mind (Pilates). You will not find any loud music, gimmick training, Tv’s, or pre-programmed training routines that do not meet your individual needs at Pivot Pilates. Our classes are small, with no more than 4 per class, and individual training sessions are held in a private setting, allowing you to decompress and re-focus on what is important: your health and vitality. Assessments are free, and we encourage our clients to take a seat before or after their sessions to relax and socialize with a warm group of people. Truly individualized Pilates training is rare these days, but Pivot continues to try to bring just that to the Jacksonville community.
