Angie Krueger
Lead Instructor
Angie moved from Southern California to Jacksonville to be closer with her family. Her extensive background includes many forms of movement and exercise. She has a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance from the University of Akron in Ohio. After college she danced professionally for the Delia Stewart Jazz Dance Company in Houston. Her background in dance includes teaching classes in many forms of dance and choreographing pieces for 20 years at high schools, colleges, and dance schools throughout Houston, Cleveland, and Charlotte. Her favorite experiences with dance instruction include directing a high school dance program and teaching jazz classes at her alma mater in Ohio.
In the early 2000's, Angie fell in love with Pilates and pursued a career in it while raising her family. Angie began taking Pilates in order to heal from her own back injuries, ease arthritic pain, and excel in her dance career. She earned her Comprehensive Balanced Body Pilates Certification at Blue Moon Pilates in Southern California. Continuing her education in Pilates, Angie also earned a Certificate with Pilates for Neurological Conditions. She has worked with clients of all ages and skill levels, from professional athletes to clients with injuries, osteoporosis, and scoliosis. Angie hopes to show others the healing and strength that Pilates provides. Pilates has helped her thrive and stay strong with her own health and vitality. Angie was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 2014 and has found Pilates is essential in her routine to help with the effects of her MS. Additionally, Angie finds that Pilates is a safe, peaceful exercise form in which anyone can grow from mental, emotional, and physical difficulties. Recently Angie has received her pre and post Pilates certification and is specializing with new moms and moms to be.
When Angie is not teaching Pilates, she loves spending time with her grown kids and family, hiking, walking her Goldendoodle, and reading.

Maya Peck
Instructor/Apprentice
Maya is originally from Naples and is now based in Jacksonville, where she is building her career in health and fitness. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Applied Physiology and Kinesiology from the University of Florida, developing a strong foundation in biomechanics, human anatomy, and orthopedic injury prevention. Her academic training and personal fitness journey led her to pursue a career centered on individualized support and physical education.
After college, Maya strengthened her patient-care skills by working under Advanced Practice Providers across various healthcare settings, including general pediatrics, inpatient physical therapy, hospital burn units, and surgery centers. Through these experiences, she gained exposure to diverse health conditions and diagnoses, while developing a deeper understanding of how differently the body can present, heal, and adapt. This exposure to healthcare reinforced her commitment to supporting individuals with varying health and movement needs.
With a background in dance, Maya rediscovered her love for movement through weekly Pilates classes at a local gym, reconnecting with the same curiosity she felt as a child exploring the body’s capabilities. Seeing the impact that Pilates had on her own body inspired her to help others unlearn harmful movement patterns and improve daily function in a way that is sustainable across all stages of life. She views Pilates as a preventive and corrective exercise method that develops strength, control, and body awareness, unlike any other exercise form.
Maya is currently completing her Comprehensive Pilates Certification through Balanced Body and plans to continue her healthcare education to support clients with a wide range of goals. She is especially motivated by teaching long-term joint health and helping clients feel more confident in their bodies. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time at the beach, strength training, playing classical cello, and traveling to experience different cultures.

Wendy Anderson
Instructor
Wendy Anderson began her fitness journey over 30 years ago, motivated by her personal goal to lose weight and improve her overall health. Although she led an active lifestyle, she faced ongoing challenges with her weight and found it difficult to adopt healthy habits that would support her goals. Becoming a fitness and Pilates instructor helped her build a positive relationship with her body. This experience allowed her to establish a consistent routine to effectively manage her weight and enhance her overall well-being. Wendy was featured in Shape Magazine and Muscle & Fitness Magazine during her time as a competitive athlete. She earned her associate's degree from the University of Florida.
As a comprehensive Pilates instructor, Wendy offers a wide range of services, including personalized one-on-one training sessions, engaging apparatus classes, and dynamic mat classes. Her dedication to her craft is evident in the many years she has spent studying with reputable organizations such as Pole Star Pilates and Power House Pilates, earning multiple certifications that attest to her expertise including AFAA Certification as a personal trainer further solidifying her qualifications. Her professional journey has taken her through various environments, including repitible institutions like Baptist Health, the YMCA, and various local studios. Through these experiences, she has discovered that her true passion lies in working with clients in smaller, more intimate studio settings. This setting allows her to provide the individualized attention and personalized training that larger corporations often struggle to offer.
Wendy’s life has been rich with unique experiences and adventures. She has a deep love for horses and spent significant time showing them in hunter/jumper competitions, where she honed her skills and developed a profound appreciation for the equestrian lifestyle. In addition to her love for animals, Wendy has also pursued a creative outlet as the lead singer in a band that once featured a member widely recognized in the music industry. Her earlier years were also marked by her passion for art, where she expressed herself creatively whenever time allowed.
Currently, Wendy finds joy in her life with her two beloved cats and her cherished grandchildren, who bring her immense happiness. Although she has a profound love for the beach and enjoys the tranquility it offers, she often struggles to find the time to visit, balancing her professional commitments and personal interests. Wendy's journey reflects her resilience, passion, and ongoing commitment to living a healthy, fulfilling life.

Jena Wilford
Administrative Assistant
Jena Wilford has always been driven by a deep passion for uplifting her community. This commitment shines through her previous work in law enforcement, support for special needs, and as a military spouse. Whether testifying before State representatives, creating care kits for Ronald McDonald House families, or being present for special needs families in crisis, she continually seeks to enhance lives and inspire those around her. Before joining Pivot Pilates, Jena held a variety of positions, including Executive Assistant to CEO's, Service Coordinator for mechanical contractors, Paralegal, and roles in marketing, among other responsibilities. She holds a degree in Criminal Justice and was a Certified FDLE Law Enforcement Officer. She is also nearing the completion of her second degree in Sociology and plans to complete her master’s in social work.
For many years, Jena was a stay-at-home mom while her husband served active duty, raising five children and often hosting a foreign exchange student during the school year. Through her experience managing her children's medical challenges, Jena has developed a wealth of medical knowledge, never imagining that this wisdom would one day empower her to face her own health issues. With their youngest child now in college and three granddaughters to cherish, Jena and her husband, Damien, are joyfully embracing their journey as grandparents and celebrating the freedom of being "empty nesters."
In 2024, life as Jena knew it transformed significantly with the diagnosis of life-threatening medical conditions. Despite facing numerous hospitalizations and overcoming three pulmonary embolisms, Jena's resilience shines through. Now, equipped with a feeding tube and port to thrive amidst her challenges, she has stepped away from full-time employment and found a blessing in joining the Pivot Pilates team.
When Jena is not at the studio or in the hospital, she embraces life with her husband, delights in playing with her Maine Coon, Bella, enjoys serene walks on the beach, and finds joy in reading books. She has come to realize that true impact in the world arises not from grand gestures, but from the daily choices she makes: to show compassion to herself and others, even in moments of struggle; to give wholeheartedly to her loved ones; and to live fully and passionately while she has the opportunity.
